Food Drive

Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank Food Drive

Sponsored by the American Constitution Society and Public Interest Law Association

In response to many families and individuals struggling in the Pittsburgh area due to Covid-19 trickle down effects, the American Constitution Society and PILA student organizations are sponsoring a food drive for the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank, organized by Ariel Dickinson, 3L, Vice President of the ACS and Treasurer of PILA.

The food bank will deliver collection barrels to the School of Law to be placed in the Student Lounge to collect food and supplies. The food bank will then return and collect the barrels and use the donated food and supplies to help those in need in the Pittsburgh area. The Covid-19 restrictions in place have made service projects such as a food drive a little tricky, but with the food bank's help with the delivery and pick up of the collection barrels, we hope to have a successful event!

We also have a secure payment link set up on this page, below, for those who would like to donate but may not be on campus. Monetary donations online and in person will be combined into a check issued by Duquesne University for the Food Bank.

The Food Drive will be held the week of September 7, 2020.  The collection barrels will be in the Student Lounge area. Please see below for a list of ideas from the food bank.  Please note, no glass items.
