Catholic Studies Minor

The Catholic Studies minor is an interdisciplinary program devoted to the study of the Catholic tradition. It has been designed to be accessible to students in every School of the University. Students with demanding primary majors will find that our courses can be used to complete a great majority of Bridges requirements.

Minor Requirements

A minor in Catholic Studies involves 5 courses (15 credits) as follows:

  • CATH 395: Development in the Life of the Church (sophomore/junior year)

A project-based seminar experience that will mix joint and individual projects with guided reading focused on a theme established by the instructor.

For Spring 2022, the theme was "Conscience".

The Catholic Studies minor permits up to three credits to be transferred (subject to departmental review and approval).
