Title: From Phenomenology to Theology?
Presenter: Dr. Didier Franck, Professor Emeritus of Philosophy, Université Paris X
Does phenomenology find its fulfillment in theology? Is theology able to solve the problems of phenomenology? Or does the relation between the two signify something else that has nothing to do with the one or the other?
Dr. Didier Franck is Professor Emeritus of Philosophy at Université Paris Ouest Nanterre La Défense, and a member of the Institut Universitaire de France. He has written a number of books on Nietzsche, Husserl, Heidegger, and Levinas, two of which have recently been translated into English as Flesh and Body (Bloomsbury Publishing, 2014; originally published as Chair et Corps: Sur la Phénomenologie de Husserl by Éditions de Minuit in 1981 and 1993), and Nietzsche and The Shadow of God (Northwestern University Press, 2012; Nietzsche et L'ombre de Dieu, PUF, 1998 and 2010).
