Graduate Assistantships

Graduate assistants work 20 hours per week performing one or more of the following:

  • faculty research assistance.
  • teaching assistance.
  • administrative assistance.

Our GAs receive up to nine credits of tuition remission and a stipend for each semester of the assistantship. Eligibility and requirements:

  • maintain an overall GPA of 3.5. 
  • not hold full-time employment elsewhere.
  • reappointment in subsequent semesters is based on demonstrated competence and satisfactory academic performance.

Financial Awards

NEW students accepted into the master's program are eligible to receive a 25-percent tuition and fee award.
Eligibility and requirements:
Take a minimum of six credits every semester. (Summer semester enrollment is not required; however, discounts will apply if student is enrolled in six or more credits).
cannot receive tuition remission, tuition break or any sort of university scholarship.
To apply for the special financial award, complete and return the Duquesne University Financial Aid form.
