Internship and Volunteer Information

The Psychology Department values experiential education. To provide students with structured opportunities for such learning, examples of Practica are Arsenal Family & Children's Center, UPMC-Shadyside Hospital Elder Life Program, a Forensic Psychology practicum opportunity that involves working with a local Psychologist, and a client experience research opportunity at Allegheny County Department of Human Services.

Student Organizations

Duquesne's Psychology Club is an active organization that helps students cultivate their psychological interests and knowledge. Club activities include experiential workshops, guest speakers, conference trips, film discussions, topical symposia, research and volunteer opportunities, and graduate school preparation. There are no requirements for participating in Psychology Club. All students, including non-psychology majors, are welcome.
