Understanding Unconscious Bias Workshop
McAnulty College faculty and staff are encouraged to learn together at the Unconscious Bias Workshop on Monday, March 22, 2021 from 4:30 to 6:00 p.m. Advance Registration is requested to attend this virtual event.
Duquesne graduate and McAnulty College of Liberal Arts adjunct faculty member, Cassandra Cooper will facilitate the workshop. Cooper is a dynamic speaker with over 25 years of experience and is currently the manager of diversity learning at UPMC where she develops and oversees the delivery of diversity and inclusion curricula throughout UPMC-Pennsylvania's largest non-government employer.

• Define unconscious bias and the science behind it
• Explore when you are most susceptible to unconscious bias and how it can impact decision-making and interactions with others
• Learn ways to manage unconscious bias to ensure best practices in educational workplace interactions, including the classroom
• Self-assess your own levels of unconscious bias
