Deborah Sternberg (M.S. Music Education, Vocal Performance Concentration, 2000) released her first CD, "Birds of Love and Prey," on the NAXOS label in February 2020. It features three new art song cycles for soprano and piano, and has been awarded the 2021 WAMMIE award for Best Classical Album by The MusicianShip.
Sternberg is a full-time artist and voice teacher in the Washington, D.C. area. Among other chamber and symphonic choruses, she sings with the Washington Master Chorale and the Washington Chorus, and is the Teacher-in-Residence for the latter. She is a Cantorial Soloist for Congregation Or Chadash (Damascus, MD) and a member of the 8-voice Schola at St. Catherine of Siena (Great Falls, VA).
