Hannah Roux (B.S. Music Education, 2020) graduated this past May, during the COVID-19 pandemic following completion of degree requirements, including student teaching at Bethel Park and Upper Saint Clair School Districts. Hannah was very excited to make Pittsburgh her permanent home when she was hired at Fox Chapel School District as an elementary general music/vocal teacher. Currently, she works with students in grades kindergarten-five. Teaching during a pandemic is quite different from anything we have experienced thus far in the field of education, but she says that making music with the students makes everything worth it! Other than teaching elementary music within the district, Hannah also assists as the brass instructor for the Fox Chapel Marching Band and serves the greater community at Fox Chapel Presbyterian Church as the children's choir director.
Hannah would like to extend a heartfelt "thank you" to the rest of the educators out there: hang in there and keep up the hard work!
