Matt Blistan (B.M. Music Education) Matt's professional musical career began with a degree in Music Education from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, PA. His degree and musical talent developed into a performance career which earned him a NARAS GRAMMY® Award.
For six years Matt was the trumpet player for the famed rock artist "Prince" in his historic "Revolution" band.
While performing with Prince, under the Prince-given stage name of Atlanta Bliss, and performed in four world tours, three major movies and 12 music videos.
In addition to his GRAMMY® award, Matt earned 12 gold, platinum and multi-platinum records for his recording studio performances. As a studio musician Matt recorded with many other top artists such as; Aretha Franklin, Bonnie Rait, George Clinton, Chaka Kahn, Mavis Staples, Kid Creole, Patti LaBelle, Sheila E, James Brown and Miles Davis.
While teaching Music Business classes at Georgia State University in Atlanta Georgia, Matt earned a nomination as "Outstanding Musician" in the honored "Atlanta Music Awards."In 2017 Matt was inducted into the Pittsburgh Rock 'N Roll Legends, Hall of Fame.
