Matthew Ferrante (B.M./M.M. Music Education, 1985/2001) studied music technology at the Berklee School of Music. Matt teaches Music Technology at the Pittsburgh Science and Technology Academy in the Oakland neighborhood of Pittsburgh. Formerly, he was the head of the Performing Arts Department at the Ellis School in Shadyside.
Matt is also very active as a performer on saxophone and EWI. He leads the band Modern Times, as well as wrote and produced the music for their release, The Persistence of Melody on Corona Music.
Matt has been a featured artist on over 20 CDs and over 30 commercials. He is also a member of the band Told Ya So.
