DYANC - Concerto Competition 2018

Final Round

A total of 12 applicants have been selected to perform live in the Final Round on Friday, March 2nd, 2018 starting at 3:00pm, PNC Recital Hall, Mary Pappert School of Music, Duquesne University, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania 15282.

*The final round of the competition is open to the public and free to attend.

The final round will be judged by four members of the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra (TBA). Winners will be announced and awarded at the conclusion of the competition on March 2nd, 2018. All finalists will receive judges' comments.


  • First prize $500 and a concerto performance with the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra in 2018-19 season in one of the educational/outreach concerts. The scheduling for the performance as well as the repertory will be determined by the PSO management.
  • Second prize $200
  • Third prize $100

DYANC - Solo Artist Awards 2018

*NOTICE: Due to the number of applications received, we are unable to give any feedback. The decisions of the judges are final and will be announced on Tuesday, February 13, 2018.

There will be multiple winners. They will each receive a special diploma and perform in the Winners' Recital on Friday, March 2nd, 2018 at 7:00pm in the PNC Recital Hall at the Mary Pappert School of Music, Duquesne University, Pittsburgh, PA 15282.
