Emily graduated from the Robert E. Cook Honors College at Indiana University of Pennsylvania with Bachelor of Science in Music Education. She has studied piano under Jacqueline Anderson and Edwin Fry, and voice with Joanne Luchsinger. She formerly taught vocal and general music at Burchfield Elementary School in the Shaler Area School District, before devoting her time to homeschooling her two children, teaching private voice, piano, and theory lessons, and teaching general music, piano, and music theory at the Western PA Enrichment Center. Emily has been a member of the Pittsburgh Madrigal Singers, the Zelienople-Harmony Community Band, and the worship team at Bridge City Church. Since she began teaching at CMC in 2001, Emily has developed and taught, at one time or another, nearly every level of Musicianship offered, both in the classroom and online.
