Joe Petron has a B.S. in Music Education and M.M.Ed both from Duquesne University. Presently teaching at Trinity Christian School, he taught general and instrumental music in public schools. He has taught Suzuki violin and has been the director of the Suzuki programs at Carnegie Mellon University and Duquesne University. In addition, he has taught at Suzuki summer institutes in Pennsylvania, Ohio, Arkansas, Kentucky, Minnesota, Michigan, Nebraska, Wisconsin, Illinois, Texas and Washington, DC. In 1985, he studied with Dr. Shinichi Suzuki at Talent Education in Matsumoto, Japan. Joe also has a private music studio in White Oak where he teaches violin. He has been a church organist and choir director and has played violin in the McKeesport Symphony Orchestra for over 30 years. Joe and his wife have two sons and three grandchildren.
