Steel City Brass Camp - Daily Activities

Activities included

Daily Warmups & Exercises - Participants are guided in starting each day with appropriate activities to engage the mind and better connect the player to his or her instrument.

Studio Classes - Participants are grouped by instrument and receive coaching and instruction on building repertoire, preparing for auditions, playing as a section, and performance etiquette that is instrument specific.

Small Ensembles & Chamber Music - These ensembles are instrument-specific groups arranged and designed to match players by skill level and provide opportunities to perform with other participants in a supportive environment.

Master Classes - Guest artists discuss topics and music pertinent to the participant's instrument are discussed and played with individual faculty members and participating students in a group environment

Final Performance - Participants throughout the week work toward a final collaborative presentation of music that showcases the skills and techniques that have been acquired and refined through camp participation.
