Opportunities for Non-Music Majors

You don't have to be a music major to participate in musical activities offered by the Mary Pappert School of Music. There are several opportunities for students of all majors to continue learning about and performing music.

Mary Pappert School of Music Ensembles

Duquesne students, regardless of major, are all welcome to audition for placement in our ensembles. Available ensembles include, but are not limited to:

Interested in taking non-credit music lessons? City Music Center of Duquesne University has lesson packages for university students, employees, alumni, and community members. All ages and skill levels are welcome. Choose from 45 or 60-minute lesson packages and customize your schedule to fit your needs.

Spiritan Campus Ministry

Through Spiritan Campus Ministry, students, faculty, staff, and administrators are encouraged to participate in the special ministries of our liturgies.  


Music Minor

At Duquesne, students with previous musical experience are encouraged to consider earning a minor in music. Music minors experience the joy of singing or playing an instrument in a high-quality ensemble while gaining a deeper understanding and enjoyment of the art form.
