Regardless of your degree choice, all students of the Mary Pappert School of Music have a declared vocal or instrumental major, studying with one of our world-renowned faculty.

Applied Music Study

Through applied music study, each student embarks on a journey of growth and discovery with their instrument as a companion and a master teacher for a guide. Whether a student's field is music performance, education, technology or therapy, applied music study is a core experience in becoming a musician. One-on-one lessons give life to classroom courses in history and theory, encouraging the young musician to continually strive for higher levels of excellence. Graduates become musical leaders who are ready to begin a journey of discovery that will last a lifetime.
