From the Desk of Dean Seybert
Welcome to our new electronic edition of Spectrum!
As you are aware, we have published a hard-copy edition of Spectrum since 2003. In an effort to provide everyone with our most current news in a concise format, we have made the decision to adopt an e-version of Spectrum as an electronic newsletter that will be published quarterly. This will ensure that we are providing you with more regular and up-to-date glimpses of the many exciting events and accomplishments occurring here in the Bayer School. We are proud of the achievements of our students, our faculty, our staff and our alumni. And we want you to share in that pride!
Looking forward to the fall, we will be holding our fourth annual Alumni Breakfast for Duquesne science alumni on September29, in conjunction with Homecoming. We invite you to join us for this event, not only to connect with your classmates, but also to join us in a working breakfast that will define the basis for establishing a new Bayer School Alumni Organization, which we anticipate will enable Duquesne science alumni to more easily network and connect with fellow alumni across classes and even across generations.
We eagerly anticipate the many exciting opportunities this new organization will create. We look forward to hearing your comments on the new Spectrum, and we look forward to having you join us in September as we lay the foundation for a new Bayer School Alumni Organization.
