At Aleph, we strive to help those who have been forgotten by society, the Jewish men and women in prison, their families on the outside and those who are re-entering society. Left alone, these men and women are guaranteed to fail (US DOJ statistics give them a 23% success rate).

Armstrong County Community Action Agency
Armstrong County Community Action Agency is a nonprofit organization incorporated in March 1965 as a community-based grassroots organization serving the low-income and disadvantaged. Over the years, Community Action has established itself as one of the single largest providers of comprehensive human services in this community. Today, it assists individuals with such concerns as nutrition, housing, transportation, education, job training, job placement and self-sufficiency.

Bread for the World
Bread for the World is a collective Christian voice urging our country's decision-makers to end hunger at home and abroad. Bread equips people to write personal letters and emails, meet with their members of Congress, and to work with others to end hunger.

Brother Keating Initiative, Duquesne University
The Keating Initiative seeks to assist food insecure students, faculty and staff. The initiative includes comprehensive "wrap-around" services that include health and wellness, meal vouchers and a campus food pantry.

Charleroi Area School District Education Foundation - Harvest's Bounty Program
Harvest's Bounty is a weekend food program for students in grades K-8. It is designed to help provide a little more to insure students have nutritious food that prepares them to be academically successful in the Charleroi Area School District.

Chevy Chase Center
The Chevy Chase Center empowers the disadvantaged population of Indiana County with love, nutrition, education and involvement.

Coraopolis Community Development
The Coraopolis Community Development Foundation (CCDF) is a 401(c)(3) offering relief, redevelopment and resourcing to Coraopolis. The Coraopolis Food Pantry is one of the benchmark programs run by the CCDF. They strive to create a grocery store atmosphere of wholesome family staple foods. This is augmented by our own Community Garden, which supplies fresh organic produce to the pantry.

Daily Bread Kitchen Ministry
Daily Bread (also known as the Northside Congregate Feeding Program), located in Pittsburgh's North Side, serves meals to those without a home or who are under-employed. This feeding program is over a quarter of a century old and has served over 250,000 meals to those in need! They focus not only on providing nutritious meals but also on providing a sense of community among our diners.

Fayette County Community Action Agency, Inc
The Fayette County Community Action Agency's mission is to strengthen individuals and families to become more self-sufficient, achieving their potential by taking advantage of opportunities, improving the conditions in which they live and taking ownership of their community.

Fishes and Loaves Cooperative Ministries
Fishes and Loaves Cooperative Ministries serves the people of Hazelwood and surrounding communities. The Food Buying Club brings wholesome food into the community at reasonable prices.

412 Food Rescue
The Pittsburgh area has the largest volunteer-led food transport network in a single urban region. 412 Food Rescue prevents surplus food from entering the waste stream by redirecting it to those who are experiencing food insecurity.

Greater Washington County Food Bank
The mission of Greater Washington County Food Bank is to form lasting solutions to hunger insecurity through effective food distribution systems, to educate and empower the needy in seeking positive lifestyle changes, and to create awareness through individual and community partnerships.

LifeSpan Inc.
LifeSpan Inc., provides critical support services for residents of Allegheny County who are 60 and over. Programs and services include care management, family caregiver support, protective services, home delivered meals and community resource centers for older adults.

Jubilee Kitchen
Jubilee Soup Kitchen supports the Hill District and surrounding Pittsburgh community by providing services to assist those whose lives are challenged by poverty, joblessness, or homelessness.

Just Harvest
Just Harvest is a nonprofit organization that reduces hunger through sustainable, long-term approaches that lift up those in need. We get at the root causes of hunger by using public policy and programs to reduce poverty and improve food access. Just Harvest addresses hunger in Allegheny County at its root - economic injustice - through a focus on public policy, food access, and community power.

Kids Meals Network
This program is sponsored by the United Methodist Church Union. When summer comes each year, thousands of kids across the Greater Pittsburgh Area are left without consistent access to healthy meals. This 8-10 week program feeds food insecure children after school has let out and there is no longer the offering of a lunch meal to the kids every day. The Kids Meal Network offers a hot meal and a snack to the young community three times a week.

Neighborhood Resilience Project
The Neighborhood Resilience Project, based in The Hill District,  initially began as a ministry that offered food, clothing, transportation assistance, document recovery and emergency relief to the community in 2011. With each can of food, each sweater, each bus pass and each voucher for assistance, a relationship in the form of a conversation was started.

Pittsburgh Citipark's Summer Food Service Program
The Food Program Division of Citiparks is a unique and wonderful opportunity to provide for Pittsburgh's youth. Due to restrictions associated with COVID-19, our Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) was done with Grab ‘n Go Meals from Monday, June 15, 2020 through Friday, August 28, 2020.

Saint Andrew the Apostle Parish Food Bank
The Food Bank of St Andrew the Apostle Parish serves the communities of Monongahela, Donora and Charleroi. It runs strictly on a volunteer basis and is funded through the generosity of the parish community. Food is distributed on the third Wednesday of each month from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. at the Donora location, 1 Park Manor Rd, Donora PA , and provides non-perishable food items, along with toiletries.

The Catholic Youth Association, Meals on Wheels Program
CYA's Home Delivered Meals Program cares for seniors. The program delivers more than food. It also delivers companionship and protection. Meal deliveries allow CYA to stay in touch with people, monitor their well-being, and help them physically and emotionally.

The Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank
We bridge communities and resources throughout southwestern Pennsylvania to help neighbors overcome food insecurity and lead happy, healthy lives.

The Macedonia Family & Community Enrichment Center (FACE) of Pittsburgh
Macedonia FACE is a faith-based nonprofit community outreach of Macedonia Church in the Hill District neighborhood of Pittsburgh, PA.

The Red Door
Saint Mary of Mercy Church, which is located in the heart of downtown Pittsburgh, provides several kinds of assistance to people in need. The "oldest" of Saint Mary's services is "The Red Door Progam," which began during the Great Depression. This program provides a bag lunch, Monday through Saturday, to more than 100 persons in need each day.

The Veterans' Leadership Program: Military Share Food Distribution
Military Share is designed to provide nutritious foods for veterans and military families. All veterans and military families in need of food assistance are welcomed. RSVP is required.

Westmoreland County Food Bank, Inc.
The Westmoreland County Food Bank is a private, not-for-profit organization that supplies food to hungry people through a network of food assistance programs in Westmoreland County. Our 40,000 square foot facility is located in Delmont, Pennsylvania.
