SANE (Adult/Adolescent) Clinical Preceptor Course
Currently enrolling into Fall 2021 classes.
Class size is limited and is temporarily more limited than usual due to COVID-related safety precautions. Please check back for course enrollment openings regularly, as this may change.
Nurses will experience hands-on preceptorship with experienced SANEs to prepare them to return to their areas of clinical practice. The course includes an opportunity to practice a mock exam on a professional live standardized patient who has been trained to portray a sexual assault scenario and undergo a full sexual assault exam. Learn more about the standardized patients with whom we work.
This course serves as the "preceptorship" portion of the national certification offered through IAFN (International Association of Forensic Nurses). All training is consistent with the standards of practice as defined by the IAFN.
