Dr. Denise Lucas Awarded $4,000 for FNP Student Scholarships
Dr. Denise Lucas, Clinical Assistant Professor and Chair Advanced Practice Programs, was awarded $4,000 in funding from the CVS Health Foundation to support one to two scholarships for Duquesne University FNP students. Lucas has received this award for the past few years and it has ranged from $2000 - $5000. Scholarships will most likely go toward FNPS students who are bilingual, active-duty or retired military, and have some tie to an underserved population.
Founded in 1878, Duquesne is consistently ranked among the nation's top Catholic universities for its award-winning faculty and horizon-expanding education. A campus of nearly 9,500 graduate and undergraduate students, Duquesne prepares students by having them work alongside faculty to discover and reach their goals.
