New Positions/Promotion
Pharm.D.'15 Tyler Ruby, PharmD, who owns Orby Pharmacy in Orbisonia, PA and Ruby's Pharmacy in Saxton, PA plans to open Williamsburg Pharmacy in Williamsburg, PA. The town has been without a pharmacy since Dick's Pharmacy closed its doors in November.

Pharm.D.'07 Mark Ziegler, PharmD, MBA, has joined life science law firm Boesen and Snow as Director of Pharmacy Services effective October 7, 2019 to assist in expanding the pharmacy specific services offered by the firm.

Mark earned his Doctor of Pharmacy from Duquesne University in 2007 and his MBA from Case Western Reserve University in 2010. Mark's expertise in pharmacy audit includes a deep understanding of the processes utilized by PBM's to determine audit findings, providing a timely and effective audit response, proactive approaches to maintaining the PBM relationship, and knowledge of PBM Provider Agreements.


Rachel Ogden, BS Pharm, PharmD, MS, was named the Dean of the LECOM School of Pharmacy on July 1, 2020. 

Ogden will be responsible for all academic matters related to the LECOM pharmacy program, which encompasses operations at the Erie and Bradenton, Florida, campuses, and within the Distance Education pathway.

Ogden joined LECOM in June 2008. She has served as the associate dean of the School of Pharmacy since 2011.


New Positions/Promotion
Pharm.D.'08 Michelle Bennett, PharmD, BCPS, has been named retail pharmacy manager for Penn Highlands Healthcare, according to Francis Iorfido, pharmacy service line director for Penn Highlands Healthcare. Bennett will oversee the staff and operations at the Penn Highlands Community Pharmacy in DuBois and McCabe's Drug Store in Reynoldsville.


New Positions/Promotions
Pharm.D.'00 Jeffrey Neigh, deputy chief of the pharmacy service line in the Office of the Surgeon General, has been promoted from Lt. colonel to Colonel in the Army. He is an ROTC Distinguished Military Graduate and was commissioned a First Lieutenant in the Medical Service Corps in 2000. Colonel is the highest rank he can achieve as a pharmacist in the Army.
P'90 Joseph Muha has accepted a new role as corporate counsel and director of pharmacy compliance with Discount Drug Mart.


New Positions/Promotions
Pharm.D.'04 Luke Gillmore has been promoted to director, field clinical services of Rite Aid covering Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
P'82 Astellas appointed Joseph Fleishaker to Lead Clinical Pharmacology and Exploratory Development.
