Basic Life Support (BLS)

Designed for healthcare professionals and other personnel who need to know how to perform CPR and other basic cardiovascular life support skills in a wide variety of in-facility and prehospital settings. Initial certification and recertification are available.

Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)

Healthcare professionals who either direct or participate in the management of cardiopulmonary arrest or other cardiovascular emergencies. This includes personnel in emergency response, emergency medicine, intensive care, and critical care units such as physicians, nurses, pharmacists and paramedics. Initial certification and recertification are available.

Basic Life Support Initial Certification:

  • 4-Hour Course
  • $65 Per Person

Basic Life Support Recertification:

  • 2-Hour Course
  • $55 Per Person

Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Initial Certification:

  • 6-Hour Course
  • $185 Per Person

Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Recertification:

  • 4-Hour Course
  • $175 Per Person

Combination BLS/ACLS:

  • 8-Hour Course
  • $225 Per Person
Cancellation Policy

Reservations for the program cannot be held until the registration fee is received. Cancellations received in writing (via email) at least seven days prior to the program will receive a refund minus a $25 cancellation fee if an access code to learning material was not processed. If the access code was processed, a refund minus a $150 cancellation fee will be provided. Please contact the program coordinator if you need to cancel your registration. Duquesne University reserves the right to cancel the program at any point in time. In that event, each participant will be notified via email and a full refund will be made.

Communications Policy

All communications will be sent to the email address submitted at the time of registration. It is the participant's responsibility to ensure that the email address submitted is correct. If you need to communicate with the Certificate Program coordinator, please communicate using the email address used for registration.

Please note that communications may be delayed during observed University holidays.

Zoom Etiquette Policy

To ensure an environment conducive to effective communication, please follow the Zoom Etiquette guidelines in the link below when participating in any Zoom meeting. If a participant does not adhere to the guidelines listed, they will be asked to leave the meeting and must take the course at a different time. Faculty reserve the right to remove a participant for distracting or inappropriate behavior. If a future offering is not available, the participant understands that a refund will not be available.
