Dr. David Zimmerman Serves As Co-Editor For ASHP Textbook

ZimmermanAssistant Professor of Pharmacy Practice David Zimmerman co-edited and authored a newly released textbook Demystifying Drug Doses in Obese Patients for the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists.

Demystifying Drug Doses in Obese Patients provides insight on treating obese patients including dosing recommendations, guidance on immunosupression and medication absorption and tips for adult, pediatric, ambulatory, acute and critical care scenarios.

Dr. Brandon Shank, a clinical pharmacist at the University of Texas Anderson Cancer Center, served as the other co-editor, and fellow Duquesne University School of Pharmacy Assistant Professor of Pharmacy Practice Branden Nemecek contributed a chapter titled Medication Absorption in Bariatric Surgery.
