I am a PY1 pharmacy student from Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, a suburb of Philadelphia. I chose to study pharmacy because I wanted to enter into a profession that combined my interests of medical science with helping others. From the moment I stepped foot on Duquesne's campus, I fell in love with its welcoming atmosphere, beautiful landscape, and friendliness of everyone I encountered. I knew its Mylan School of Pharmacy was highly acclaimed, and was very impressed with what it had to offer. Currently, I am involved in many pharmacy organizations, including APhA-ASP, PPA, and ACCP. I am a co-chair on the service committee of Lambda Kappa Sigma, a professional pharmacy fraternity. I am also secretary for Duquesne's club of the international service organization Circle K, the collegiate chapter of Kiwanis International, and a member of IHS and ODK. In my spare time I enjoy skiing and reading.
Founded in 1878, Duquesne is consistently ranked among the nation's top Catholic universities for its award-winning faculty and horizon-expanding education. A campus of nearly 9,500 graduate and undergraduate students, Duquesne prepares students by having them work alongside faculty to discover and reach their goals. The University's academic programs, community service, and commitment to equity and opportunity in the Pittsburgh region have earned national acclaim.
It's time for bigger goals. Follow Duquesne University on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn.
