I am from North Huntingdon, Pennsylvania, which is about 20 miles east of Duquesne. I graduated from Norwin High School in 2013. While in high school I participated in multiple clubs and organizations, as well as being a member on my high school bowling team. I chose Duquesne to study Pharmacy because it is an extremely well respected program with fantastic professors and opportunities. I enjoyed the campus because it is not far from home, so I am still able to commute to school. The campus was perfect in both size and setting for me as well. I wanted to study pharmacy because I enjoy science and want to help others. Every pharmacist I have ever encountered was always so kind, helpful, and extremely knowledgeable. At school I am a member of PSHP and APhA-ASP. Outside of school, I still am on a bowling league and have an internship at Giant Eagle Pharmacy.
Founded in 1878, Duquesne is consistently ranked among the nation's top Catholic universities for its award-winning faculty and horizon-expanding education. A campus of nearly 9,500 graduate and undergraduate students, Duquesne prepares students by having them work alongside faculty to discover and reach their goals. The University's academic programs, community service, and commitment to equity and opportunity in the Pittsburgh region have earned national acclaim.
