PY3s To Take Part In Williams Girls Rock Science Weekend
On Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 23 and 24, student pharmacists enrolled in the third professional year of the Duquesne University Doctor of Pharmacy degree program will take part in the Williams Girls Rock Science Weekend at Carnegie Science Center.
The event is designed to introduce girls to a wide range of STEM careers. Duquesne student pharmacists will provide hands-on activities that are designed to introduce young girls to the profession of pharmacy.
Depending on their grade level, participants will have the opportunity to make an ointment, work on real-life pharmacy calculations, and try on a lab coat and stethoscope.
Founded in 1878, Duquesne is consistently ranked among the nation's top Catholic universities for its award-winning faculty and horizon-expanding education. A campus of nearly 9,500 graduate and undergraduate students, Duquesne prepares students by having them work alongside faculty to discover and reach their goals.
