Duquesne University School of Pharmacy alumnus Lauren Simko (Pharm.D.'00) helps run the Pittsburgh Melanoma Foundation with School of Education alumnus Jessica Rogowicz, the founder of the organization.

The Pittsburgh Melanoma Foundation helps raise awareness of melanoma risks and advocate for research to help treat the skin disease.
