Let's Celebrate!

Gathering for the 20th Anniversary Gala, alumni, friends and donors of Duquesne in Rome celebrated two decades of horizon-expanding education at the University's flagship program in Italy.

Celebratory events included tours of the Italian campus, a dinner and traditional festa at the beautiful Villa Giovanelli-Fogaccia, and family-friendly day-tours of Rome organized by Italian campus professors prior to the gala.

The Spiritan General Council, led by Duquesne alumnus and Superior General the Rev. Alain Mayama, C.S.Sp., was welcomed at the gala along with a Duquesne delegation that included President Ken Gormley, Provost Dr. David Dausey, the Rev. Jim McCloskey C.S.Sp. and Board Chair Jack McGinley. Dr. Joe DeCrosta, Michael Wright and Alana Sacriponte from the Center for Global Engagement hosted this wonderful event. Beloved members of the Sister of the Holy Family of Nazareth, who help run the Duquesne campus, also joined the festivities.

In addition to the gala, the Spiritans hosted the Duquesne delegation at a special dinner and meetings at the headquarters, the Generalate, in Rome. Students from the Mary Pappert School of Music participating in the "Maymester Musica Roma" program hosted a magical night of music for the delegation and other students in Rome.
