Visiting Professor in Rome

Teaching for a semester at the Italian Campus is an unusual opportunity for you to enjoy the richness of a semester in Rome. It is also an opportunity for you to enjoy special interactions with Duquesne students who are living, studying, and traveling together in Italy.

Every academic year, a Duquesne University faculty member comes to teach two courses in their field during either a fall or spring semester at the Italian Campus. Below are some quick facts about this special teaching opportunity in Rome:

  • One visiting professor spot is available each academic year.

  • Approval from your Dean and Chair is required.

  • Visiting professors teach for one semester (a semester at the Italian Campus lasts for 90 days).

  • You will teach two courses which you will specifically design to take advantage of the unique resource of the location of Rome.

  • Duquesne supports you with a housing allowance, airfare, visa and immigration guidance, and an on-site staff in Rome.

  • Families welcome!
