Registration - Spring 2019

Registration for current students for Spring 2019 will begin on Monday, October 22, 2018.  Most students can use Self-Service Banner (SSB) to register for classes online. Self-Service Banner is accessed through DORI, the University's portal. Students must have a Multipass account to log on to DORI and access the Banner system.

Plan Your Courses for Registration with RAPP

RAPP (Review Academic Program Progress) is a tool for students to review their progress through their academic programs and identify the classes they still need to take. Students considering changing their academic program may also use RAPP to review how their coursework to date applies to the new program, and which additional courses must still be fulfilled. Please note that this is not an official degree evaluation and is intended only for the purposes of registration planning.

To use RAPP, log into DORI, then go to Self-Service Banner > Student Information > Registration > Review Academic Program Progress (RAPP).


Spring 2019 Registration

First-semester freshmen will be registered by their academic advisors. All other degree-seeking students receive time tickets to register for classes, and most time tickets are staggered based on a student's class year or level. Time tickets are assigned two weeks prior to the start of registration and contain your registration start and end dates. To check your time ticket in Self-Service Banner, go to Student Information > Registration > Registration Status. Non-degree-seeking students must register with their advisors.

Use the chart below to determine your registration start date. Online registration in Self-Service Banner will begin at 7:00am for each class year according to the table below. Appointments made with advising staff will begin after 8:30am.

Since online registration will begin before the University opens for the day, it is critical that you confirm your ability to register for classes before your Registration Time Ticket begins.  Check in Self-Service Banner for holds that stop registration, and make sure you have a Registration Time Ticket.  Log on to DORI and click on Self-Service Banner, then follow these steps:

  • Time tickets: Self-Service Banner > Student Information > Registration > Registration Status

  • Holds: Self-Service Banner > Student Information > Holds (Holds on a student's record will also appear at the top of the DORI page after logon.)

The final registration and add/drop period for Spring 2019 is January 10-16 for all undergraduate, graduate, and non-degree seeking students.

October 22, 2018

7:00am        Online registration begins for early registrants
October 29, 2018 7:00am Undergraduates with 90+ earned credits
October 30, 2018 7:00am All graduate students
November 5, 2018 7:00am Undergraduates with 60+ earned credits
November 12, 2018 7:00am Undergraduates with 30+ earned credits
November 27, 2018 7:00am Undergraduates with fewer than 30 credits (excluding new, first-semester freshmen who are starting in Spring 2019)

In-Person, First-Semester-Freshmen Registration Begins:

November 27, 2018 8:30am Advising appointments begin for new, first-semester freshmen starting in Spring 2019

Final Registration:

January 10 - 16, 2019 Final registration for undergraduate and graduate students for Spring 2019
January 16, 2019 11:59pm Last day to register for Spring 2019
