Your Story is Our Story

In one sense, the history of Duquesne University is found in the basement of the Gumberg Library, where the University Archives is located. Here you will find a treasure trove of photos, documents and mementos dating back to 1878 and beyond. In another way, it is recorded in books, such as Dr. Joseph Rishel’s The Spirit that Gives Life.

But in its truest sense, our Alma Mater’s history is more than facts and figures, more than names and dates. It lives in the minds, hearts and spirits of all who have touched and been touched by this precious institution—alumni, students, parents, faculty and staff, friends and neighbors.

Add Your Own Chapter

Dear Alma Mater offers you the chance to add your own chapter to this never-ending narrative. We encourage you to share your video, photo or text to be added to our growing collection today.

While you’re at it, please take a moment to think about deepening your connection with Duquesne. Visit Alumni Relations or MyDuquesne to learn more about volunteer opportunities and events, or consider making a gift to a program or activity with special meaning to you.

Thank you for sharing, and for—in your own way—propelling Duquesne ever forward.
