Executive Assistant to the Vice President for Community Engagement
Joan Hilton began her role at Duquesne University in October 2017. Joan manages the Office of Community Engagement's operations and administrative functions, and she assists with social media strategy and the compilation of community engagement activities across campus.
Prior to her role at Duquesne, Joan served with Bill Generett at Urban Innovation21, a non-profit that offers programming to support startups and entrepreneurs. In her role at Urban Innovation21, Joan supported the internship program and oversaw the office's administrative functions. She also has previous experience in project management and educational programming.
Joan received her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Hobart and William Smith Colleges in 2012 where she played varsity tennis for all four years. She currently sits on the Humane Animal Rescue Junior Advisory Council and has two cats and a dog of her own at home.
