Carnegie Community Engagement Classification

Duquesne University is one of an elite group of 361 institutions to hold the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching's Community Engagement Classification. This designation was first awarded to Duquesne in 2008 and again in 2015. The University will hold this honor until 2025, at which time it will have the opportunity to reapply.

The classification is the nation's highest honor for colleges and universities that have made community engagement a pervasive and key aspect of their institutional commitments.
