Hunting the Hunters: An Interdisciplinary Investigation into Serial Killing
- 12:00 AM to 12:00 AM
- 319 & 320 Fisher Hall
You know the names - Ted Bundy, The BTK Killer, Jeffrey Dahmer, Son of Sam, Charles Manson, and The Zodiac Killer, but do you know what motivated them? How and why they selected their modus operandi? Why there have been so few female serial killers? Why the insanity defense has almost never succeeded for them? How serial killers differ from "spree" killers?
The Institute's 18th Annual Forensic Science and Law Symposium has been developed to provide criminal justice professionals, academicians, journalists, students and others with answers to these questions and more through a combination of presentations and panel discussions featuring some of the leading investigators and scholars of the serial killer phenomenon.
