2020 Men As Nurturers Symposium
Trying Together of Pittsburgh in conjunction with Duquesne University will be holding a Men As Nurturers Symposium on Saturday, February 15, 2020 from 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Jeron X. Grayson Community Center, 1852 Enoch St, Pittsburgh, PA 15219. The goal of the symposium is to empower men as teachers, fathers, role models and community leaders, to take on an identity as nurturers. The overall vision of the symposium is to get men fully engaged in the lives of young children.
A keynote session along with small-group discussions be included in the symposium. Such topics as: Challenges of Being a Nurturer, Pressures Men Face, Experiences of Nurturing, Complexities of Gender, Race and Culture and Men's Health will be discussed. Lunch will also be provided to all attendees of the symposium.
