Biography

Emma Terhune started her time at Duquesne University in August 2016 for her first year in the Music Education Department. Emma studied as a Vocal Major but still made time to play her Bass Clarinet. She studied with Dr. Rachel Whitcomb, Dr. Paul Doerksen, and Dr. Stephen Benham of the Music Education Department. She also studied with her Voice Teacher, Guenko Guechev, and many other impeccably talented faculty.

During her time at Duquesne, Emma's passion for education in all forms grew exponentially. After serving as Section Leader for the Jr. Mendelssohn Choir and performing with the Voices of Spirit, Emma moved on to Student Teaching. After her Graduation in May of 2020, she decided to keep exploring the field of education. She has now moved on to administrative work and plans on receiving her Masters in Higher Education Administration in the near future.

In addition to her commitment to Duquesne University, Emma is an active member of her church in Oakland. In her personal time, Emma loves to crochet, watch movies, bake/cook, and read.
