Biography

Jayne McDonald received her education at these Pennsylvania universities: B.S. Music Education, Messiah University; Dalcroze Certification, Carnegie Mellon University; M.S. Music Education, Duquesne University. Jayne's teaching experience includes: Duquesne University, Adjunct Faculty (Eurythmics) 2018 to Present; Director of Music, Ken Mawr United Presbyterian Church, 2004 to Present; Blackhawk School District, Middle School Music Teacher/Choral Music, 1992-2022; City Music Center, Chair of Musicianship Department, 2002-2017; City Music Center, Eurhythmics Teacher, 1989-2017; Preschool Music Teacher 1985-1992; South Side Beaver School District, Substitute Music Teacher, 1985-1988; Bridgewater-Raritan School District, Elementary and Middle School Music Teacher, 1980-1983; South Middleton School District, Middle School Music Teacher, 1979-1980.

Jayne is a student-centered teacher with three areas of expertise: 1. Dalcroze Eurhythmics, 2. Music Education, 3. Worship Music. On a personal note, Jayne is married, and she enjoys spending time with two sons, daughters-in-law, and three grandchildren who live in Philadelphia. She is somewhat of a regular commuter on the stretch of turnpike between Pittsburgh and Philadelphia.
