Biography

Todd E. Kuczawa is an Adjunct Professor of Music Education at Duquesne University and leads the high school choral program at Bethel Park School District. He did his undergraduate and graduate work at Duquesne.

A proud graduate of Duquesne University, Mr. Kuczawa has enjoyed a continued relationship with the music education department, working with clinical teachers as well as over 20 student teachers. He currently teaches junior music education students in the Advanced Choral Methods class. Beginning as the middle school choral director for six years, he has since taught the high school choirs for the past 22 years. In addition to serving as the choral director, he was the associate director of the marching band for ten years, and is currently the vocal director and producer of the spring musical. In 2010 Mr. Kuczawa was awarded the PMEA District 1 Citation of Excellence Award, and in 2015 the Bethel Park Top 21 choir was selected to perform at the PMEA All State convention. As a singer, Mr. Kuczawa has performed with numerous Pittsburgh area choirs including the St. Vincent Camerata, The Mendelssohn Choir, the Bellefield Singers, the Abbey Singers, and the Bach and Baroque Concert Series at the University of Pittsburgh.
