The Center for Career Development's Partnership with Faculty and Staff
The faculty and staff at Duquesne are important partners in helping students and alumni find careers, internships and meaningful futures.
This partnership is devoted to achieving the best match between an individual student and an employer.
We hope that the following information will help you understand how the Center for Career Development operates and how we can work together to assist students and employers.
Serving Student, Alumni and Employers
The Center for Career Development assists students in preparing for their job search through career workshops and seminars that teach:
- Resume writing
- Interview techniques
- Job search strategies
In addition, we provide one-on-one counseling services with Career Consultants who specialize in one or more areas of expertise, such as business, liberal arts and the health sciences, natural and environmental sciences, nursing, leadership and pharmacy.
Finally, join the almost 200 other faculty and staff who are users on our on-line networking platform DukesConnect. Not only will it help you keep up with your graduates and track their careers, but because they update their profiles via LinkedIn, you can use the tool to easily find the right alums to invite back as speakers, panelists or even competition judges.
Undergraduates, graduate students, alumni (throughout their lives) and even Duquesne faculty and staff are welcome to use our services.
