How will I get all of my belongings from my car to my room?

A group of team leaders,from Orientation, will be waiting with carts to help you transport all of your items to your room. To make the move more efficient, please be sure to label all of your items with your name, building, and room number.

Do I have to come to Orientation?

All new students, freshman and transfer, are expected to attend Orientation from August 19-24, 2020. There are certain events listed as mandatory in the schedule, and those are enforced by various offices on campus. There are plenty of fun and exciting events planned during the week that you will not want to miss.

Is there Orientation for my parents?

Yes, there will be one session on each move-in day for parets to ask questions and attend in person on the day that their student moves on to campus. Other events will be streamed live for parents to view. 

Is it normal to feel nervous about coming to college?

Yes! Trust us, we have all been there and felt the same apprehension that you might be feeling now. Once you get here, you'll have a whole staff of over 200 upperclassmen who are volunteering to make your transition easy. They will show you around, answer your questions, and help you feel welcome on Duquesne's Campus.
