Orientation 2019 Directors
Benjamin Firoina & Daniel Smolsky
Assitant Director and Director
Hey everybody! My name is Dan Smolsky and I am incredibly excited to serve as the Director for Orientation 2019: Begin. Build. Become. I will starting my senior year in Duquesne's business school this fall and pursuing a double major in economics and marketing. I grew up a mere 2,424 miles away in Santa Clarita, California (maybe you've heard of our Netflix show!) with three sisters and one brother. I was conflicted when deciding where I wanted to atted college and ended up commiting to Duquesne the night before it's deadline without ever having toured the campus or visiting the city of Pittsburgh. I have since fallen in love with Duquesne and our city and attribute a lot of my happiness to the orientation program my freshman year and the relationships that it created three years ago. I am excited to welcome you all to our Duquesne family and hope that your transition to college is as impactful and memorable as mine was. Enjoy the rest of your summers and start getting excited for everything that we have in store!
Hey everyone, my name is Ben Fiorina and I am the Assistant Director for the 2019 Orientation program. I am a junior Economics major in Duquesne's liberal arts school, but also pursuing a business certificate. I am from Butler, Pennsylvania which is only 45 minutes north of Pittsburgh. Choosing to attend Duquesne has been one of the best decisions I have ever made and love every second I spend on campus. I spend my free time at Duquesne playing intramural sports and enjoying everything the city has to offer. I am very excited to be one of the first faces to welcome you to Duquesne and can't wait to help you feel comfortable up on the bluff!
