Parents' Leadership Council

Duquesne offers a family-like community that provides our students with the foundation on which to build their lives. We provide our students opportunities to become agents of positive change in the world. We practice and live our mission and values every day. Here on the Bluff, we are invested in each other.

The Parents' Leadership Council provides a philanthropic opportunity for parents to come together as a community of donors to enrich the Duquesne experience for our students and help to advance the mission of the University. Your leadership annual support of The Duquesne Parents' Fund, the parents' contribution to The Duquesne Fund, takes us from mission potential to mission possible.

When you choose to make a gift at this level, you will have a direct impact on the experience of all of our students. Further, by joining with other parents in the Parents' Leadership Council, your generosity will inspire other parents to make a gift to The Duquesne Parents' Fund and help to continue the transformative experiences that we offer on the Bluff.

How do I become a member of the Parents' Leadership Council?  

  • The Parents' Leadership Council is comprised of parents of current Duquesne University students who make gifts to the University totaling $1,000 or more in a given calendar year.

Does the donation need to be made as a single gift?

  • No, membership is based on cumulative giving throughout the calendar year. While you can join by making a one-time gift, you can also make scheduled payments throughout the year, give a percentage of your gift on the annual Day of Giving to take advantage of special incentives offered that day, or use a corporate matching benefit toward your total gift.

Can I choose where to designate my gift?

  • Yes, you can direct your gift to the area of the University that has been the most meaningful to your child's experience, an area that is most meaningful to you, or you can make your gift unrestricted, providing flexibility and stability to the areas of greatest need on campus.
