Anna Rangos Rizakus Endowed Chair in Health Sciences and Ethics

Anne Burrows, Ph.D.


Dr. Burrows was appointed as the fourth holder of the Rangos Rizakus Chair in 2016.

A professor of Physical Therapy in the Rangos School of Health Sciences, she holds a bachelor's degree in Biology and master's and doctoral degrees in Anthropology, all from the University of Pittsburgh. He research interests include primate feeding biomechanics; non-vocal communication; primate facial expression and its evolution.

Endowed through a gift from John Rangos Sr., in memory of his mother, the Rangos Rizakus Chair is spearheading the University's expanded initiatives in health sciences ethics.
