The undergraduate simulation is designed to assist students in providing equitable, competent, evidenced-based care to patients with disabilities.
"The simulation helps to answer a critical need to educate and better prepare the next generation of nurses to address and improve the health outcomes of individuals with disabilities," said Dr. Rebecca Kronk, associate professor and chair of undergraduate programs in the School of Nursing. "This is the largest minority group in the world that is continuously on the rise and affects every culture and generation."
When: Monday, April 15, from 9 to 11 a.m.
Where: This 5,000 square-foot lab is on the fifth floor of Libermann Hall, Duquesne University, Fifth Ave. at Sixth Ave.
