Duquesne University's 12th annual Human Rights Film Series presents The Urgency of Dialogue, a lineup of five films selected to inspire dialogues about some of today's most critical human rights issues.
Presented by the Department of Classical and Modern Languages and Cultures, the series is free and open to the public.
The series begins Tuesday, Jan. 29, with White Right: Meeting the Enemy from female Muslim filmmaker Deeyah Khan, who sits down with fascists, racists and the proponents of "alt-right" ideologies.

A timely look at a culture of silence in the face of sexual harassment and abuse and other forms of gender violence. - Wednesday, Feb. 13, Downstream
A look at the contamination and protection of Pennsylvania's waterways. - Monday, Feb. 18, The Cleaners
An investigation of outsourced content moderators charged with censuring what the public sees on the internet. - Tuesday, Feb. 26, The Great White Hoax: Donald Trump and The Politics of Race and Class in America
A film about race relations and white privilege in America.
