Get Behind the Numbers
This hands-on workshop takes a step-by-step approach to explain two important financial
statements: profit and loss statement, and balance sheet. A representative from Wilke
and Associates, CPAs will offer clear examples for using these statements to make
informed decisions, identify potential problems within a business and set realistic
financial goals. Participants are asked to bring a calculator and a copy of current

Steel City Brass Camp
Open to brass musicians entering grades 7-12, as well as college students. Daily activities
include guided warmups and exercises, studio classes specific to each instrument,
small ensembles and chamber groups, master classes, and guest artists. Students work
toward a final performance at the end of the week and will also have the opportunity
to participate in a solo-artist competition with cash prizes and a featured performance

Best of the Bluff, Season One: Blues and Ballads at the Movies
This concert will kick off the Best of the Bluff series with some of our culture's most beloved melodies. Three of Pittsburgh's local
jazz favorites collaborate with Bluff Series favorite, pianist Dr. Joe Utterback, for an afternoon of nostalgia and memory. The
repertoire will include songs from The Wizard of Oz, Casablanca, Summer of '72 and Black Orpheus, among others. Interim Mary Pappert School of Music Dean David Allen Wehr will visit
with Utterback during the pre-concert discussion to talk about the history of music
in the movies.
