More than 1,300 undergraduate and graduate students will be honored at two 2019 spring commencement ceremonies hosted by Duquesne University.
President Ken Gormley will present an honorary Doctor of Humane Letters to Maxwell King, president and chief executive officer of the Pittsburgh Foundation, and Joanne Byrd Rogers, wife of the late Fred Rogers at the undergraduate commencement ceremony. King is also the author of The New York Times best-seller The Good Neighbor, a biography about the life and work of Fred Rogers.
King will deliver the commencement address and Rogers will also give remarks during the ceremony. Gormley will give presidential remarks at both ceremonies.
Both ceremonies, as well as the 9 a.m. Baccalaureate Mass, will be broadcast live via webcast. Links will be available at www.duq.edu/commencement.
When: Friday, May 10: graduate ceremony at noon and undergraduate ceremony at 3 p.m.
