What: The Homeless Children's Education Fund (HCEF) and Duquesne University will host a
public art display to raise awareness of over 4,100 children in Allegheny County who
are experiencing homelessness.
During the event, participants will stand in silence for 15 minutes with masks representing
homeless children held up to their faces. Information about homelessness in Allegheny
County also will be distributed during the event.
The installation is led by HCEF and student groups from Duquesne, University of Pittsburgh
and Point Park University.
Attendees will have the opportunity to donate money or school supplies to help aid homeless children.
When: Friday, Oct. 18, at noon.
Where: Market Square, Pittsburgh.
