Poets&Quants has recently named the Palumbo-Donahue School of Business' undergraduate program among the best in the country on its list of the 2021 Best Undergraduate Business Schools.

This year, the Palumbo-Donahue School of Business was ranked No. 69 on the national list, up 11 slots from the 2020 list. The School of Business was also only one of three Southwestern Pennsylvania schools and one of eight Pennsylvania schools to be included on the list.

"This latest ranking of our undergraduate program by 'Poets&Quants' is a data-driven testament to the tremendous commitment of our faculty and staff to keep innovating and focusing on what matters in business," says Dr. Dean McFarlin, dean of the School of Business. "Just 11% of AACSB-accredited business schools were included in this latest ranking, so I think it's fair to say that we offer one of the best undergraduate student experiences in the world, one marked by an applied, experiential emphasis embedding real corporate projects in the curriculum."

Schools featured on the list were ranked based on admissions standards, academic experience and career outcomes.

"Our top-25 ranking in the 'Academic Experience' category highlights the quality and impact of the education our students experience at Duquesne," says Dr. William Spangler, associate dean for undergraduate programs in the School of Business. "The data from this category comes primarily from our recent graduates who were asked to reflect on their diverse educational experiences as students. It is reassuring to report that these newly-minted business professionals view the passionate contributions of our faculty and staff in such a positive light."

Poets&Quants compiled the 2021 rankings based on a representative survey of over 6,100 alumni and school-reported data. Recent graduates across the 93 schools were surveyed on aspects of faculty availability, extracurricular opportunities and accessibility of the alumni network.
