‘Beethoven on the Bluff ‘Continues with ‘Piano Trios II’

The first season of the Beethoven on the Bluff series continues with Concert II—Piano Trios II.  

Presented by the Duquesne University Mary Pappert School of Music, the concert will feature Ludwig van Beethoven’s Three Piano Trios, op. 1.

Concert performers include the Duquesne Piano Trio, comprised of David Allen Wehr, pianist and the Jack W. Geltz Distinguished Piano Chair; Charles Stegeman, violinist and concertmaster of the Pittsburgh Opera/Ballet Orchestra; and Adam Liu, cellist and assistant principal cellist for the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra.

A two-season concert series, Beethoven On the Bluff, will feature the major piano chamber works of renowned composer Ludwig van Beethoven. The first season, Beethoven On the Bluff: The Early Years, is comprised of four concerts that will focus on the music that Beethoven wrote between 1793 and 1801, while he was in his 20s.
